A TEAM FOCUSED ON
TRANSFORMING MENTORING CONVERSATIONS

MentorKey is on a mission to transform mentoring, and unlock human potential and purpose at scale. At its core is a technology developed from the deep analysis of over 5,000 successful mentorship relationships and decades of human resource learning.

Standing behind this technology is a team of people who are passionate about the very human impact of transformative mentoring experiences. We understand that for many people the word “mentor” elicits mixed emotions. On the one hand, there is a belief in the potential of mentoring. On the other is expectations missed and a poor experience. Technology is the facilitator, but the team at MentorKey set out to help deliver the very human “a-ha” moments that come from great mentoring.

Our team was driven to find better ways to unlock human potential and purpose, in a repeatable way across the entire organisation.

That is MentorKey’s catalyst –and it inspires our work to realise mentoring’s true potential for everyone.

OUR EXPERIENCE

For more than 15 years our leadership team has been delivering world-class mentoring, sponsorship and coaching programs. We started at Serendis, and from that experience, we realised that there was a way to bring technology innovation in to support better human interactions.

We know that 85% of employees consider mentoring to be a factor in where they work. Too often we’ve seen noble attempts at mentoring fall short. So far, no one has cracked why this happens. Until now.

Our work has involved learning from thousands of participants across many industries. They have taught us how to navigate the pitfalls and create programs that support transformative mentoring experiences – not only as a one-off success story, but as something repeatable across the entire organisation.

From that knowledge, MentorKey was born.

THE KEYS TO SUCCESS

An impactful mentoring conversation takes place when the mentee experiences a moment of clarity and insight. This a-ha moment only happens when they join the dots on their own. The epiphany in their brain creates enough energy to prompt them to take action and move outside their comfort zone.

But these a-ha moments don’t just happen by listening to their mentor’s experience. Asking the right question, at the right time is a skill that mentors develop to create insights for their mentees.

‘How-to” guides or manuals on mentoring best practices don’t enhance mentors’ ability to catalyse these impactful conversations . Each individual is different and these insights will come from a different place for each of them.

MentorKey’s unique approach and content guides mentors and mentees through the right preparation for hundreds of different scenarios. MentorKey adapts to each individual’s needs and prompts them with what they need at the right time for them to have the greatest possible mentoring experiences.
